Dubya is another Gemma puppy, the only male from her breeding to CH Hightide Bonaventure Cap'n Jack. Born on November 2, 2004, election day, it seemed only appropriate that we name him after the President. We knew Dubya was going to grow into a nice boy and that we wanted to keep him close to home, so when my Dad fell in love with him we were quite happy. At Dad's request, Dubya was his Christmas Present that year! Dad and I co-own him, and he lives just down the road with my folks and his half-brother Laser. Dubya is a littermate of our Onyx. Dubya has a lovely headpiece, a nice front and topline, is wonderfully balanced and moves beautifully. A UKC Champion on his way to his Grand Championship and AKC Champion pointed as well, we have high expectations for this boy's future. At the 2007 Potomac Specialty, completely out of coat, he won 4th place in the chocolate Bred-by class. As judge Margaret Brown handed me his ribbon, she said, "He won this placement on the strength of his head. He had the best head in the class." Dubya also has a solid topline and moves beautifully, something nearly every judge that sees him comments on whether he takes the points or not. Dubya's first litter is on the ground, and we like the way they're looking. He is available at stud to approved bitches.
