Our last litter, born in June, have all gone home, and we don't
have any litters in the works right now. However, we are planning
a couple of litters for next spring/summer. One will be a very special
all chocolate litter, and will be our Gemma's last litter. Pending
clearances, we may also be breeding one of Gemma's daughters as
well. More information about our plans will be mosted in the months
to come. Meanwhile, if you're interested in one of these litters,
contact me to get on our
waiting list.

TarKom Puppies
Here
at TarKom, raising puppies is both a pleasure and a huge responsibility.
We are very conscious of the fact that our choices in these first
weeks of life can drastically impact our puppies' future well being.
All puppies are whelped and raised in our home in a clean, safe
environment, with lots of human contact. They spend the first critical
weeks with their mother, carefully supervised. At about four weeks
of age, the babies are moved to a larger area with plenty of room
to play, sleep and explore. They are given a "potty spot"
and begin to train themselves. The puppies are given many different
toys and things to play with and examine, and are exposed to a variety
of noises. They are also socialized with children and various adults,
as well as with our other dogs. They are given wings, spend time
playing in and exploring the yard, and are exposed to water if weather
permits. We watch the personalities of the various pups emerge,
which allows us to match buyers with the best puppy for their family.
Because
we breed primarily for ourselves, we do not breed often, and will
typically not have more than 1 or 2 litters per year. We spend a
great deal of time with our puppies, and are extremely selective
about the homes they go into. We don't sell our puppies to live
in someone's yard - Labs are people dogs, and they need to live
in the house with the people they love. We want our puppies to go
to forever homes where they will be cherished family members, so
you can expect to be asked a lot of questions prior to purchasing
one of our pups. All our pet puppies are sold with AKC Limited Registration
on Spay/Neuter contracts. This means that they may participate fully
in all AKC activities except conformation. Should a puppy
be bred in violation of the Spay/Neuter contract, none of the offspring
would be eligible for AKC registration. Occasionally, puppies may
be available to show homes.Our
family pet/hunting companions have a functional soundness guarantee
through their second birthday. Interested buyers may contact us
so we can discuss adding a TarKom puppy to your household. Prospective
buyers may then make a deposit to reserve a pup from an upcoming
litter. Deposits are non-refundable unless a puppy from the specified
litter is not available at 8 weeks of age. Should a puppy not be
available, the buyer will be given the choice of moving the deposit
to another litter, or receiving a refund.
When
you adopt a TarKom puppy, you become a part of our extended family.
We will be available to you for the life of your puppy - to answer
questions, give advice, or just share a funny story or a picture.
Every pup bred at TarKom always has a home with us should
the need arise.
